The Lapathon is a whole lot of fun and great exercise for all the kids at Wade Thomas School. Each year in the Fall, the kids come out to run, dance or walk laps around the school yard. Break stands with water and oranges, are hosted by volunteer parents. Parents and friends come to cheer the kids on, dance to the music we play during the event, and take endless photographs. Popsicles are provided to all at the finish line. Each child may win a prize depending on how much money they raise for the school.
We have three ways to support a student runner:
1. Give a specific dollar donation for every lap the student runs - please contact the student directly to set this up! At the end of the event the student will contact you with the total dollar amount he or she needs to collect. You can pay this (tax-deductible) amount in cash or with a check made out to the Wade Thomas PA. Please note the student runner's name in the notes field if you are paying via check.
2. Give a one time (tax deductible) donation to the Lap-A-Thon event in a student runner's name via cash or check. Please contact the student directly to set this up!
3. You can use the right hand side of this page to support for a student runner with a one time (tax deductible) donation to our school paid via credit card.
